Great price, shame it's curved. Have a good read up on curved TVs, especially at this size, before buying

What's the dealio in a nutshell?

Curved doesn't do much for smaller screens and where it does appear more obviously on larger screens, people tend to put those larger screens on the wall. This means that they have to put up with TVs that protrude from the wall. Curved also means that whoever is not on dead centre of the TV gets a slightly distorted view.

People who complain about curved TVs are generally buyers of brands that don't offer the feature.
No such choice to make when ordering your new Polaroid, eh?

Or they opt for higher end brands that have recognised that curved is not the future and offers no advantage

Was incredibly apprehensive about purchasing my 65 inch Samsung (ks9000) but as JL said I could return it if I didn't like it I thought I'd try it first.
All this talk about viewing angles is irrelevant unless you're sitting to the extreme sides, which would be a problem even if with a flat. Glare from the windows produces wavy lines as opposed to a flat line on the screen, this is about the only difference (it's not even an issue for me).
Most importantly, the curve is very gentle and virtually unnoticeable - suffice to say I kept the TV without hesitation even though it was possible to get a flat version.

Viewing angles are better on flat. I've tried both back to back. Glare is also a pain. Would have returned it if I were you to be honest. All manufacturers are now stopping curved as it was a flop. Btw how does it look on your wall?!

I've had a flat Panasonic 50 for ten years and the curved doesn't bother me one bit, in fact it enhances the experience for me. It's on the v stand not the wall.
