Have got good feedback for Vax, specially this model. Reviews are good too on multiple sites.

Argos got brand new one for £79.99 with 2 year warranty and also you can get 20% off with Argos home sale:
Still makes this one half the price. I ordered one on Monday, arrived today. Hot.

I have this, all I can say is the suction is MENTAL.
I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing, but on my flooring, once it gets a grip, I have to turn it off rather than pull it away as it'll yank the boards up.
It does a good service on the carpet. also, for storage it fits in a square of a Ikea Kallax unit. Cord could be a bit longer. But we're talking about a 30 quid cleaner here, so of course it's not as good as a 200 quid job.

I got a pets performance vax about 3 years ago now. Still going very strong, only issue is the constant clogging of the filter! But you can buy extra filters for cheap and machine wash them too.

I've got the pet one too, £35 and it's been great for the last two years. I've noticed the same thing with the filters though. I wash mine out normally but it's probably well overdue a new one, where do you get yours from?

I have bought two Vax and was unimpressed by either, take your punt if you like, would rather go Henry, Miele or Bosch

That suction might be a tad of a problem sometimes... but a good sign I guess?

eBay!! Although one seller sent me the wrong one and claimed it was my fault. Would've cost more to post it back so just gave him a nice negative rating.
