Right now it's £21.95 and the best price yet, I think.

Is it any good? I played the demo and wasn't overly impressed

It seems decent enough from the reviews, mostly 7 or 8/10 scores....I'll wait till it's sub £20 though.

The general consensus from pretty much every other Prey deal on this site is that the game is good, but the demo was pants (and a poor representation of the overall game)

I can't get into this at all. Spent about 4 or 5 hours with it and I'll probably end up trading it. Spend a lot of the time running away from and sneaking round enemies as you are quite under powered.
I was hoping for a dead space cross dishonored or bioshock type of game but it's no where near as good as any of them.

95% of multi-plat games run/ look marginallu better on PS4. Not significantlly, and for many the difference isn't even noticeable, but if you have the option of both and the game is the same price on both, get it for PS4.
This coming from someone who regularly games on both systems.

Good post thanks. I really fancied this for my PS4 Pro, unfortunately it's littered with bugs and stuttering performance. Maybe I'll give it a shot when it's £10 or so

It's probably my favourite game of the year so far but I can see that it won't be for everyone. It rewards a very slow, thorough playstyle. I was also underwhelmed by the demo but I'm very glad I gave the game a chance. I've not been overly affected by the bugs but I've heard of one that can corrupt your save files. I would be less forgiving had that happened to me.

I'm on the fence with this, I didn't like Dishonored at all, and this is the same studio, but I absolutely love games set in space. One thing I've noticed though is from the first few hours I've seen the enemy variety is almost non-existent. There was basically two classes, mimics and the other one, with re-skins for both.
Does the game get better later on, or are you stuck fighting the same two enemies wearing different costumes?

Are you accusing me of humble bragging? (angel)

You see, I really, really liked Dishonored and its sequel. I bounced off the first one a couple of times before it clicked, though. What I enjoyed in those games, and what I really like about Prey, is the number of times I've thought "I wonder if I can..." and it turns out I can.
As for the enemies, there is greater variety later in the game but not much. I love the design of the mimics and the way they force you to treat everything in the environment as a potential threat but the rest of the enemies are a little more "standard".
Have you played SOMA at all? That's another game where the enemies are almost incidental but the atmosphere and the world more than made up for it.

My game of the year so far, the demo doesnt really set the standard for it. I would say if you like system/bioshock then give it a go. I have had a lot of fun using the GLU gun to work around locked doors. The exploration and story make the game pretty fun. I have put in about 25 hours into it and still enjoying it.
