I have been informed that Poundland are having a big 50p sale starting on Monday 31st. Also that alot of the more expensive stuff like branded perfumes etc are also going to be reduced (not to 50p but really cheap)

Are there any Poundland employees on here that can verify this? Looks like we'll all be going to Poundland on Monday!!!!!

Suppose they need some gimmick to get customers back. I never go in anymore unless I want batteries - nothing else is even worth £1. It's not the shop it started out as being.

The batteries certainly aren't worth £1!

They had a promotion a few months ago and the only things that were 50p were things that had been 2 for a £1 anyway. No bargains to be had, that's why I'll be amazed if they have things like shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, toothpaste for 50p. Would be lovely if they do as it'll be cheaper than going to the wholesalers!!

went into town last week and poundland was half empty, went into town today, and pep and co says its moved into that poundland store. I saw the 50p gardening items. someone bought poundland last year, I'm unsure what they are doing with the company, but people just like to pop in and know everything is £1, not £3, and now clothes, seem to be mixing the two shops together.

Adding the clothing range has ruined our local store.
They seem to have got rid of the stuff I am interested in.

I think the 4 Sony Alkaline AA/AAA are probably worth £1. The non-alkaline batteries they sell are rubbish.
