It does not have a VPN client. It has a VPN server so you can connect to YOUR network.

Works well including selective routing, but you'll need either dd-wrt or TomatoUSB for this. Both work well.

No you need the Netgear D7000 if you want one with a built in modem
Used to own this and was ok for a while but then kept intermittently failing. Spent days on phone to virgin thinking it was an issue with them but turned out it was the router. Changed to an Asus Router which is superb.

Please share link to one you got, did you put the virgin superhub to modem only mode and add Asus as router ?
Any other recommendations for router to work with virgin media ?
Do you know if you are able to use one with built in modem with virgin media ? Getting real crap speeds and range with Virgin at the mo.Thanks

I connect to this router set up at a home overseas daily via OpenVPN. In fact after Apple stopped supporting PPTP VPN it is my only way to route traffic.

I suggest researching before spouting. This fully supports dd-wrt and VPN. It's supports OpenVPN out of the box also.
Just because you want a modem others might not......
