Depends on your budget and needs but I wouldn't keep it. Specs are all over the place with big numbers to attract people but will deliver a poor performance in real life.
If you can squeeze a bit more money for your budget then the Lenovo Yoga @ £349 listed on here will be a much better experience. Better build, battery, ssd hard drive higher resolution screen all in a much smaller package with touch screen and tablet functionality.
(Yes it may less storage and ram on paper but it will be a miles faster package when looked at holistically)
On a side note, when are manufacturers going to stop pushing out these ridiculous 1366x768 screens - they are absolutely terrible I've got a 12 year old dell laptop running a media server in the cupboard which has a better screen.

If £275 was at the top of your budget I'd say keep it. Give it a try out and if its too slow I'm sure JL will take it back. The extra year warranty is probably worth £30 which makes the laptop an even better buy.
Remove any bloatware e.g. McAfee et al and install a resource efficient anti-virus; run a Windows Update to get the latest updates (leave on overnight).
In the future you could replace the HDD with a 128GB SSD and move the HDD to the CD/DVD tray (or use as an external drive); the CPU should be just about OK for basic light office stuff. Oh, and screen resolution - ignore the people who insist on Full HD - unless you're one of them!

It was mainly bought for browsing & I use excel mainly for my work so to me I didn't need anything over the top, ram was good & processor speed was good enough HDD & screen resolution was never high on my agenda cheers for the comments.
