I was going to say it's crazy they don't tell you about it, then I noticed they do in tiny, easy to miss text, hidden among other points you'd normally not bother reading. Amazon's attitude to their website constantly baffles me.

Thanks... Ordered. Picked up a fire HD 8 a few days ago but turned out to be the 2015 and only 1gb ram. This should be better.

Has anyone who has this tablet got the recent update to marshmallow and if so does your tap to lock / tap to unlock work. It used to be there under gestures on lollipop and kit-kat and should be under display settings in marshmallow but not listed as an option on mine.

Updated to Marshmallow yesterday, no tap to lock/unlock as on Lollipop but you can minimize working app and lock it.
Otherwise everything seems to be working fine, seems smoother than under Lollipop and Dolby is working OK too.
Main downside I've found with Marshmallow is the inability to mount an OTG USB drive and manage it through a File Manager, I backed up to memory stick before upgrade and then had connect to my laptop to read the memory stick to transfer the folders back to the tablet!
