If you're interested in making pancakes (like you get from McDonalds)...here's the recipe I use.
100g self-raising flour
60g caster sugar
1 medium egg
125ml milk
half a teaspoon of Vanilla flavouring
Put the teppanyaki grill on 2.5 and wait until hot while you prepare the batter.
Mix all the ingredients together with a wisk - should be thick-ish mix - no need to be delicate, just bung it all in!
Brush the grill with butter then pour on the mix - on my previous grill I could cook 3 pancakes at once.
Wait until you see bubbles on the top of each pancake and then flip and cook for a further 30-45 seconds.
Repeat until the batter has all gone (remember to brush more butter each time!)
Serve with whatever you like - my kids like nutella, I prefer butter and maple syrup! :man:
I have 3 kids - doubling the mixture allowed for 3 or 4 pancakes for each of them plus my partner and myself.
Treat/breakfast for 5 which is ready in under 10 minutes and costs very little to make.

Picked up a 2000W Quest one from Wilko last year for £15, got home and them remembered I'd picked up a 2000W grill (can't remmeber brand) from Lidl or Aldi several years before for £17 I think it was.
Both boxes totally different but product identical inside, I think they're all made in the same factory and just badged differently.
They're ok and do cook the food well if used properly, but I've only used it twice and never really felt compelled to use it again. Another one of those gimmicks that look great until you start using them.

Foy anyone else considering - I've bought one of these before from Groupon - It lasted about 2 years. It's very, very good for cooking american style pancakes on - makes it really easy to do loads at the same time and much easier to get a spatula under compared to a frying pan as there's no pan-sides to negotiate. Highly recommended.
Just be careful when cleaning - the non-stick surface doesn't last forever - my advice is to wipe it off with some kitchen towel while still hot (be careful!) to get the worst off and then simply wipe it over with a little soapy water and dry it when it's cool.

Can you run these off a typical camping electric hookup does anyone know? I.e. does it draw too much power?

Yes, these are popular with caravanners to save using their gas. Take the variable heat thing with a pinch of salt. It's just a big electric element under a sheet of metal, it's either on or off, so not that easy to control the heat like you can with gas or induction.

Will run, but if you put the kettle on too it might trip

I've bought a few of these off of Amazon - usually about £20 for a Von Chef one. They are excellent but the non-stick eventually fails and then we buy another one.
We always take ours with us when we go on holiday in the UK as you can cook eggs (and bacon before we went veggie) etc on it every morning without loads of washing up. Just wipe it down and empty the drip tray. No grill or frying pan to clean.
It's one of those gadgets we actually use all the time.
