For £7/mth you get 1,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and 2.5GB of 4G data on rollover. You can choose to limit your bill to no more than £5 over the tariff price. Also you can roll your unused data over into the next month. So use only 1.5gb one month and you'll have 3.5gb to use the next. No need to choose one over the other now! Capping, eu roaming and rollover included in this package.
*officially no tethering but iD say it uses allowances quicker so don't support it but will not kick you off if you do
Plus £5.25 TCB making the first month £1.25

Does anyone know whether using the upgrade feature in the app and choosing another tarriff automatically takes effect from your next direct debit date? My current contract is £7.50 for 2GB, looking to switch to £7 for 2.5GB. Just don't want to be paying twice.

Yes, I wanted to know this too. I am on the £5/ month 1GB package, wanted to go to the £5/month 1.5GB package which also had more minutes. Another company which does not upgrade their current customers to the latest (better) packages...

I had to phone them up about this. They did it over the phone in the end but offered me 4gb of data for £8, so if you want more data try calling.

personally i avoid three and its subsidary ID mobile. my father works as a multi channel marketing manager - basically he visits all the supermarkets, malls and retail parks up and down the country - and he's experience with the three network is poor very poor. Most supermarkets , retail parks, and shopping centres are affiliated with Vodafone or o2, or EE - and goes without saying there signal strength is by far better than three / ID mobile. he is now with BT mobile - which is a lot better and works in most* places. - iv been monitoring these sim deals over the last few days - stick with plusnet

It really depends on the user. I find three to be the best for data speeds and reception where I tend to go, even O2 signal 2g is poor round my way, data speed is woeful. Same for Vodafone. EE is probably the best generally though. On three 4g I can get 80mbps down/26 up at home, that's faster than fibre! Tempted to replace my landline and broadband.

I rang them last month to make this exact change. £5 still went out on the same day it had before, no extra charges.
They also gave me unlimited texts and 400 minutes as well as the extra 0.5GB for my £5. Didn't even ask.

Put my mum on the £10 5gb deal and have to say it's been spot on.Great app better then most of the bigger companies and only a 1month deal.
Avoid ID at any cost, they really couldn't make their deals cheap enough to get me back as a customer

Nor me. Their systems and procedures are an absolute joke.

To be fair it could be £1000 a month and be the cheapest for 2.5GB.
No one else does 2.5GB

Sorry OP but avoid.
It's impossible to contact customer services without your pin. Mine is the last two digits of account plus last two of card used to pay. It Doesn't work , so impossible to cancel without cancelling direct debit which affects my credit score.

My pin also didn't work but I just answered some more dpa questions and upgraded fine. This was a month or so ago when I called to increase my £10/m tariff from 4 to 5gb. Couldn't fault them.

I’ve seen cheaper and ID mobile I’ve never used myself but I wouldn’t recommend off the things I’ve heard off experienced customers

Upgraded mine to the 1.5gb no problem. Why can’t you do it?

I've spent months battling with ID over poor network signal at my home.
They make claims of good network coverage but in reality it's poor if not non existent.
Their customer service is equally as bad.

NO NO NO UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES GO WITH THE **** COMPANY TO EXIST SINCE UMBRELLA COROPORATION..
I took out a SIM only deal with them to cancel it 7 days later, due to crap coverage in my area. Agreed on the phone and within t&cs this could be done without any issue. I destroyed the sin and I cancelled the direct debit but without telling me they continued to bill me. I called them 9 times over a 5month period each time took 30mins to get through to someone who had no idea to deal with my case. Each then told me not to worry it would be sorted.
Then they set the debt collectors on me for £25 I didn't owe them. After more phone calls and still no resolution, slaying them on Facebook and Twitter was the only way they would sort it. A **** COMPANY with a shocking attitude towards customers. So with all the time equalling a full days work and the stress of debt collectors they refused to offer me any compensation... use Plusnet they are cheaper and their customer service is amazing.
