These 1080ti's are dropping by the day, personally not a fan of these FE editions with the blower fan but sub £600 for a ti is a good deal, keeping my eyes peeled for any prime day deals on these , failing that I think I'll hold out until black Friday , gives me time to way up possibly going for AMD Vega

@darthvader666uk Vega definitely sounds promising and I'm hearing it being placed between 1080 and 1080ti, I guess I'll only have to wait 2 weeks or so until I know for sure , just makes my decision harder though as I want to upgrade to 1440p 144hz so the question is freesync and AMD Vega or G-Sync and 1080 or 1080ti but I'm determined to hold out , these price drops sure do keep tempting me though

I know what you mean. I have a decent Asus Dual 1070 and Im tempted to sell it (going for a good rice atm on ebay with the crypto currencies) and pick one up. I do have a cruddy monitor so the freesync vs gG-Sync might sway which one I might oic up...
Though these prices are getting really nice right now :smile:

For anybody in the market though, get the EVGA 100%, their warranty is vastly superior to Asus. Plus you also have the Step Up program.

Still worth posting for those with brand preferences. However, I really don't get different brands on reference cards like the FE as it makes zero difference since whoever makes it has to follow the exact same specification from Nvidia and use the same cooler design etc, so the end result is exactly the same product and performance with a different name on the box, utterly pointless IMO. Of course makes tonnes more sense for true aftermarket cards where the manufacturer really can tinker with aspects of the design like cooling and extra overclocks etc....

I've been running this bad boy for the past several years , even after going to the trouble to making my first ever pc fr scratch , I never got around to upgrading my monitor ;(

If I go the AMD route I know it will be much cheaper minitor wise as freesync is usually a couple £100 cheaper than G-SYNC, never owned an AMD card though , always been on the green team
