When making a Pink Gin is whether you want it ‘in’ or ‘out’. To be ‘in’ means moving the Angostura bitters around in the glass before adding Gordon’s London Dry Gin. To be ‘out’ means swirling bitters in the glass and then pouring them away, leaving just a small residue. Served in a Martini glass, sometimes garnished with lemon, Gordon’s Pink Gin has an elegant appearance that will impress your friends. - watson44

It reminds me of when I used to play cricket for the works team - after the game we would order 10 pints of bitter - but the superior, pretentious member of the team would say - "I'll just have a pink gin - not too heavy on the Angostura"

Reading the thread it appears that this gin is missing the angostura completely. You're friend would be horrified to find the colour is provided by fruit in this case!
