I've been after one of these for a bit. I missed the Amazon Prime day deal but spotted it's dropped in price today on Amazon. Same price on Very but they're after a few quid for delivery (and I really don't like Very).
I'd rather have an SJCam for a fifth of the price.

Id rather not. I purchased one and ending up buying a GoPro after the SJ fell apart within 6 months...

Aye, I've debated cheaper but having picked up a 4KTV fairly recently I wanted to be able to record my boring climbing and holiday videos in UHD. SJCams, unless there's a new model I'm unaware of, actually record at 2.5k and upscale.
If anyone is picking up an SJCam just make sure you don't grab a clone, the market is fairly flooded with them (could be why yours fell apart WelshDad).

I purchased it from Gearbest. But after contacting them with photos of the faulty camera they informed me that there warranty is only 45 days from date of purchase...

45 days? Pretty sure it's illegal unless it's second hand.

I had the session 4 and after a massive crash which destroyed the casing I spoke to GoPro who gave me 40% off a replacement. Worth considering if being bought for extreme sports, not sure others would do the same

Mine over heated scuba diving. I pushed them to 60% which they were adamant was the best hey could do ... I reckon they could be pushed to 70 with enough complaining haha

Managed to get this on prime day and so far i have to say very impressed with the quality of the 4k videos at 30fps.
There is a new firmware that adds 4k at 24fps so one more mode now
Also i can confirm that the ssd ultra works fine with 4k videos, didnt want to pay the extra for the extreme version

Yours didn't overheat then? I was going to buy this when it came out but many of the reviews talk about it overheating/freezing etc.

My GoPro 4 had issues overheating and freezing, took it back under the 12 months warrenty and upgraded to the Hero 5. No issues as of yet. The memory card used has alot to do with these issues, where they cant keep up with the write speed. Invest in a genuine good memory card. I have the Lexar 633x and the Lexar 1000x, both work great with no issues
