This is the one I was personally waiting for  Previously lowest the 235 had been on Amazon was £199.99 according to camelcamelcamel, so I would have been happy with that again - but stonking reduction this time! Cheapest I've been able to find in other shops over the past month was @£220 after cashback.
I'll admit they're not for everyone - there are a huge range of fitness watches out there. But they are great at some things, especially at this price point. TomTom and Fitbit deals already posted too if you prefer those.
Forerunner 235 - This is a great pick though if you need wrist HR, inbuilt GPS, custom workouts, and waterproof enough for swimming.
Forerunner 35 - slightly lower spec (e.g. no custom workouts) for a ridiculous price!
I use this watch every day. I paid £220 last year and would happily buy the same again. At this price it's a great deal

Ah, that’s reassuring, thanks! I’ve been researching options for about a month, but was still a little worried I’d made the right choice – as the range of fitness watches is so big nowadays…
Always good to hear from a long time user  and you did well to get that price a year ago!

Superb prices. Got the Forerunner 35 from Up and Running for £130 and thought that was a good price. Great running watch with smart watch capabilities!

Does this have a stop watch? I'm being serious, i have the 225 and its great for running, gps, battery, HR, all great but why on earth it can't have a basic stop watch is beyond me. To use it as a stop watch, you record an activity then delete it and then go onto strava to delete that and.... just a basic stop watch, surely a 150 quid sports watch can provide that...

Can be added as a feature to the 235 from Connect IQ (where lots of additional features/miniapps are available). Quick search suggests 225 can't add the apps from Connect IQ... Neither can the 35.
235 is a great watch. It even has a basic cycling mode if you don't want to go full-blown watch from what I've been told. It also looks great being round (and watch shaped!) and lasts weeks on a single charge.
EDIT: Oh actually, I misread that and thought it was £109.99 for the 235. Two Black Fridays back, they had the 220 with HR for £99.99 I think, this is a bit steep for their entry-level running watch if I'm honest. The 35 will probably be fine for most.

The 235 would work for you.
Some alternatives:
Garmin Edge 20 / 25 as a dedicated GPS cycling computer.
Garmin Vivoactive (the version 1 will last for a month between recharges as a step counter and has an always-on screen)
Garmin Vivosmart HR+ (currently £119 on Amazon Prime Day deals)
Just about any other GPS watch

Good watch for the price. I have the 220 with the heart strap which I can never be bothered to wear. I wish I'd fine for this

Bought one at £215 (I think) to replace my Pebble Time Steel. I wear this everyday and is worth every penny.
