I can get to the Chorley store but this being Currys I'll give it a miss as I'm sure they will spend 30 minutes at check-out trying to sell me an extended warranty for it for £50.

Are these the originals versions? What's changed in v2?

The light bar on the touchpad. Plus the buttuns are more grey than blackz performance wise I think the batter is better

Lightbar, can be used wired and trigger hinges have been improved.
V2 is essential for me. I've knacked the hinges on 4 V1s. My V2 is still going strong.

The v2 is an improved version, they have a better grip and feel to the buttons whereas the old version could get slippy after a while. Also the thumb sticks are better quality, the colour is a lot nicer as it's two tone blue and not blue and black, and as someone else has said the buttons and triggers are now grey instead of black and they look a lot better. There's a ligtbar behind the touch pad too, if you check YouTube out there'll be some comparison vids, but if you're looking at a new controller definitely get the v2.
