How does audio of these combos compare to the internal speaker of the full Echo?

I'm guessing the bose sound link would be better than the echo sound quality but I have the echo and I think the sound quality is alright for general listening I was tempted to buy this but have just ordered a dot instead for upstairs

There's an Anker SoundCore Boost coming up on a prime day deal at 7am might go nicely with your dot. I'm keeping an eye out for that.

ive never been a fan of Bose but a friend brought his soundlink mini with him in a recent trip away. I was absolutely blown away. Its fills the room with decent sound.

I have the Soundlink Mini 2, the only other comparable speaker is the UE Boom. SM2 has great volume and bass response for the tiny little package.

should I have got a male to male audio cable with this? How to you plug them into to each other?

There must be one included with the dot, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't.
