Can you please explain, 20% off what price? They've been 297 EUR from Amazon Spain for a couple of weeks now. I've been tracking prices too. I'm hoping that the Amazon Prime event on the 11th July will see a discount in the UK store

Wasn't this 235 last week? Might as well wait for the price to drop again or get something better.

Buy Other Sound Equipment - just in case you were wondering what BOSE means ;-)

Any better wireless option you may suggest?

He'll say MDR 1000X, then you'll go and read about all the issues they have with cracking headbands and Sony's lack of support.
Where were the QC35 cheaper last week?

They were £239 for "factory renewed" ones at the Swindon outlet centre. I couldn't tell the difference from a brand new pair, and they came with the same warranty.

B&W P7 sound much better than these.
No noise cancelling though.

All I can say is try them first. The MDR-1000X is an amazing bit of kit. Noise reduction is different than the QC35s and quite possibly better. The sound is 'thicker' in the Sonys. Not sure if this is good or not. I actually prefer the BOSE sound, but at this end of the market it's as much about opinion as aural fidelity. The deal breaker for me is that the Sonys are not that comfortable for me. The QC35s feel amazing. Just go with what you prefer. Imma grab some as soon as I can afford them.

Does the noise cancelling technology do well at eliminating people talking, or is it for aeroplane engine sounds and similar?

With music playing, the noise cancelling is very effective. I can just about make out our office's Brian Blessed with these on, but the others have to prod me to get my attention. Constant, full spectrum music works best. I'd recommend them.
Opening post
