Better chance that there is some subtle reason why it's a C grade. Chance of such a new item being battered is lower than with an older item such as an iPhone 5. Cex can be somewhat arbitrary with the reason why things get a C grade so could be worth a punt here for someone.

CEX test all their items for a few hours before they take them in and put them on their site. C grade isn't always bad. But I put B grade in the description for anyone looking for a better condition item.

My advice with anything that isn't Grade A from CeX: Find where it is and go and see it.
I've seen and bought a few grade C's in my time that have been in excellent condition but are lacking box, charger, cables, manual etc. On the other hand, I've seen grade B's that are battered to death but have all the accessories.

Any apple device with an engraving on the back is an automatic C grade.
In in other words good chance this stuff was a work award or similar. Unwanted and traded in.

Recently ordered an iPad mini in C condition. Pristine basically brand new apart from a small scratch on the screen under 1mm - can barely see it. Worth taking the gamble I think imo, can always send back
