Seems to be a few more Anker deals to be had including this which I thought was an excellent price delivered for 4 port USB 3.0 (especially when my old laptop only has one USB 3.0 input).
Hope this is of some use...

I ordered a 4-port USB 3.0 hub yesterday - was about to cancel the order and get one of these but then noticed the one I ordered had an input for a 5v adapter. The extra adapter wasn't supplied but there as an option. I think I'll keep my existing order - it has the same number of ports, is USB 3.0 but I can add a 5v power source if I need to - I've heard that multiple USB-powered devices running from a USB non-powered hub can cause problems...please correct me if I'm wrong.
Heat added as this is still a good deal for an Anker hub

How common an issue do you reckon the power is though? With things like hard drives I would assume it would be - though surely peripherals , especially seeing as most are intended for USB2, would struggle to max it out. Either way a powered one is likely a safer bet incase :stuck_out_tongue:

Not such a good hub, a bit flimsy inside. Manage to bend the internals putting a usb lead in. Also doesn't recognise two arcade sticks at the same time.

Thanks I ordered that one.

I'm using mine for usb-powered external drives... But I expect that for peripherals it would be fine... May even be ok for my uses, but if not I have the option

nOTICE THAT ANKER ARE CALLING THIS A "data" hub .. so do not expect it to supply much power. I think I got caught out with this. Better to get one with power adapter even though thats not a certainty it will supply enough power. If you want to charge your bits or run a usb powered welding rig look further
