Dude, you're never going to notice the difference. Unlesss maybe you're MLG at which point you won't be buying a budget TN panel, you'd be buying ROG hardware.
Input lag is something you should be more worried about if anything.

I'm looking to replace my very old Monitor. I have been advised to buy an IPS one. I don't play games, I use my desktop for web browsing, writing a monthly newslatter and editing photos of my grandkids, thats it. Why do I need an IPS? Advice welcomed.
The biggest complaint from a non-gamer about TN panels is viewing angles (especially vertically.) For example, if you're looking at a monitor standing up or from the sides the colors fade and then start inverting the further of an angle you go. I personally hate that. It's not a problem if you have a proper computer desk but if you're putting the monitor on a shelf or somewhere in a living room where you want to see the screen from anywhere besides a chair directly in front of it it really sucks...so for me, yeah, it does make a difference.

Thank you for the link. Seems from reading the info, an ips will be suitable for my needs. (Hope I read that correctly).
Thank you both for the advice and comment.

Is it worth paying £4 extra to purchase from Amazon v ebuyer? I've not used ebuyer before.

I'm sure you'll agree with me that TN needs to go the way of the Dodo.
