Just a heads up for fellow virginmedia customers, that they have an 12 month sim only offer that you may be happy with.
If you are with rival BT, or other, you may find similar discounted sim only contracts so worth having a look at your providers benefits.
Sign into your account using the link it put on this deal, or click on this store.virginmedia.com/exi…ers and scroll down to the mobile sim offer.
Things that attracted me apart from the best price I could find, are that it's on the EE network which happens to be the best coverage for my circumstances, and that any unused data will be automatically rolled over and added to the next months allowance.
£8 month 4Gb 4G data (unused data rolled over to next month). EE network. 2500 minutes Unlimited texts Unlimited data when using whatsapp and Facebook Messenger apps. 12 month contract / £96 for the year. Calls and data allowance also applies in the EU now like all contracts.
I found this deal as a result of advice from fellow user Somnus

Thanks for the recognition! And in actual fact I think I'll be following your advice: while I was looking at a few deals I came across the BT Family SIM. There's a deal similar to this one that's £25 for 3 users and £31 for 4 users. Works well if you've got the numbers. Includes BT WiFi access too

Any price increase any time soon?

The 1st July 2017 virgin mobile price increase was for inflation and I think added 24 pence. Expect the same around the same time next year. If there is a yearly price increase on your basic contract higher than inflation then I think you can actually leave the contract if you fancy. Something like that

Signal is not that fast in central London areas . And other problem is virgin does not have any ui for missed calls . Like hullomail...

Came here to post this. Saw it as an offer on my account and managed to get it on an existing contract after 3 days of haggling. They were trying to fob me off saying it's for new contracts only but I couldn't see it mentioned anywhere in the T&Cs.
