Just hunting around for flights over the next couple of months, some decent return flight prices to be picked up, some are fairly soon as well, if you're looking to build a last min hol. I don't think these are bad at all considering time of year etc...
There are still some £269 flights for Orlando if you're interested in those. Not many left for those, but either way, worth a look through to see if anything falls right for your plans. Most 14 nights at the mo.

Hey, you'll need to search for the ones you're looking at, it should go to the flight search page  You can choose up to a 3 months time frame to cover more dates (Obviously)

Thanks for the reply, I'm looking for Gran Canaria but for my dates in 6 weeks it's near a grand for four of us. I was more looking for the page that shows the drop down menu you have in your image. It states 2,085 flights for Gran Canaria.
I have found it now but cheapest is £239 each for me, thanks

I've noticed a weird trend this year with school holidays. There has been really good flight prices recently for August, like Menorca, Santorini etc however when you try and find accommodation it is near impossible to find anything reasonable. I know recently there was Menorca flights for under £30pp return but accommodation wise it was over £2k for family accommodation (for a family of 4), and that was nowt special. Similar for Ibiza etc. Previously it was always the opposite, flight prices would be high but lots of accommodation. I'd really suggest anyone looking to book these to double check hotel/accommodation prices as you could end up being stung.

These flight prices look great. This is the first year I've had to do an August holiday and Ive noticed the same as rachelandgromit. Accommodation prices are outrageous, it doesn't seem much cheaper to do DIY holiday than to book with a major tour operator!

Its because the med can charge what it likes as nowhere near as many people are going to Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey etc, so the british airlines have tonnes of space as people from other countries are going to spain, fillig up hotels way quicker

Just some advice for flying with Thomson. It is the first airline I have used which only allows 5kg hand luggage. If you do online check-in and think you've gotten away with your case not being weighed, hope again! When I went, they had weighing equipment before boarding the plane. Absolute joke of an airline!

When I've been looking at different deals even Airbnb has been ridiculous prices too. Like the other poster, also be aware of Thomson and the baggage costs. I'm keeping an eye out on Thomson to see if there are any lastminute package deals too.

Turkey seems to be very cheap at the moment, only place you could go with a chance of spending under a grand for a family. Obvious it's cheap because people are worried about terrorism etc but the resorts aren't too bad.
Also if you are going to North Majorca I would recommend BQ Alcudia Sun Village

The med is expensive cos people are put off going to Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, etc. Demand has been much higher and hotels have been getting booked up very quick. I booked my holiday to menorca in July last year, the hotel was booked up by Xmas for the summer hols . On top of that you have the weakness of the pound over the last 18 months pushing prices up . You're left with luxury accommodation that nobody can afford or very basic that most don't want and is overpriced for what it is. I think the algarve is worst for crazy cheap flights and ridiculously priced accommodation. Better off going to canaries for overall value for money imo. Could be worse though, butlins are asking 1800 for a week self catering in the school holidays.

I spotted Man to Orlando leaving 19th July with Thomas Cook for 10 nights. Flights, average hotel on i-drive including breakfast and an intermediate car for £580 each. I thought that was quite reasonable for school hols. Was cheaper than the likes of spain greece etc when filtered by price. I know you have food and park tickets to add but it would be worth it.

i agree flights to the med have gone mad and the accommodation is just unreal , i'm really tempted with turkey , friends have been loads of times and love it resorts round dalaman are miles and miles away from the trouble and lets face it a day trip to london is a bit iffey at the moment
