On busy flights it has become increasingly common for airlines to ask people to part with carry-on bags so they can be stored with the checked luggage below.

Jet2.com spotted a potential revenue opportunity in this routine and is now charging passengers £2.59 each way to guarantee they can travel with their hand luggage.

If it's a studio with a kitchen like in Polynesia,yes you can, otherwise i don't know how you will manage to cook. And this is a holiday for god sake, take a break,spend some money,relax! If you wanna save a lot of food money,always take the full board or all inclusive to secure some meals as you can't stay all the time in the hotel.

If you are after top class hotels, i can also recommend Royal Castle Bulgaria - http://victoriagroup.bg/royal-castle-design-spa-elenite/?lang=en very decent prices for a real 5 star hotel, the hotel is the truly amazing design. £97 per night in august it's a breaking deal. All rooms are decorated to a top standard, high class restaurants, amazing spa center, private vip beach with free transport( golf carts with driver), the architecture is very very custom. One lifetime experience, i can see some people are not very happy with the customer service, but in eastern Europe is a matter of approach.

you can also cook pasta meal for £5 for whole family :wink: depends how much you can afford

yeah..Polynesia is amazing <3 but the problem is: £4544 for 2 weeks same time, so definitely not Hot DEAL :smile:

I was on holiday with jet2 a few years back, i paid £1300 for 2 for 10 days at Magaluf. The hotel was ''4'' stars, fancy rooms on the photos and we was over the moon and very excited about. On arrival on the the 4th star on the hotel facade fell off, the room was the size of my shed,dirty and with view to something like a ugly desert with a few dried trees. The bath was a meter long, as a handyman i never seen one of these in my life. The whole decoration and furnitures of this 4-star hotel are from 1970s, when you step in, you have the feeling that you are in north korea nowdays. The deal was all inclusive as well, but we have not had the chance to try it, because i was on reception asking for the room from the photos and the answer was that these rooms are from the photos. I found the representative of jet2 and i was ready to get the first flight possible from this shit hole there, but the woman managed to find another hotel and transfer us there in obviously real 3 star hotel. As a friend of mine dealt with jet2 agency i think she had to pay something on top for this transfer as she choose this holiday. Also no all inclusive in the other hotel, so self catering for £1300. The name of this ''4'' star hotel in jet2 holiday is Don Bigote(i would fairly give 1 star for this hotel on nowdays standards), do not go there as this is not hygiene place to stay. These rooms from this holiday posted here are no different on photos from don bigote ones. Just a bit good photographic skills.
Jet2 never again. In other hand i would recommend Thomson and the real 4 star Polynesia, out of this world and up to date furniture and decoration, i was there for 7 days all inclusive for 2 people for £800 just dream holiday.

Just make sure if booking the flight from London to Gatwick and vice versa you allow enough time in case of delays etc.... as you wont be covered if your flight to/from Menorca/Gatwick is delayed. If you're willing to fly from any of the Scottish airports when the Scottish holidays have ended you have lots of cheap offers. My friends are in Newcastle and frequently travel to Scotland for cheap family deals. I'm in Cheshire and schools here are back on 4th.

Menorca is amazing, was there a few weeks ago and flew with JET2, not a bad airline at all. Going back to Menorca in 4 weeks, loooove it

It is only £127 to fly up from Gatwick early on the 22nd and back in the evening two weeks later. My kids don't go back to school till 6th September, so this would be a very, very cheap holiday for us. Pity we don't get back from our main jollies till the 24th, otherwise I'd have been all over this...
