Voted HOT but not for me as It's warm white and I am looking for cool white, don't like the warm white lights

Missed that initially. These are fluorescent, not instantaneous light, which may be fine for some.

I was wondering shouldn't we be bying LED bulbes as it consumes less energy and the brightness / light quality is more natural. And they are as cheap in pound shops

That's why all of these fluorescent ones are coming down in price. This will cost much more to run than an led over time, and is not as nice a light.

Yes - CFL, not LED - OP, you should really mention this as everyone including me assumes they're LED nowadays. With all the problems of CFLs (warm-up time, efficiency, mercury) I'm afraid it's cold from me.

You'd of thought the word "lamp" would make it very clear this is not an Diode

It should be approximately equivalent to a 60W incandescent bulb.
I agree with others that it would be better to put "CFL" in the title, so that people are not misled. CPC has done so in its product listing.

Absolutely not - "lamp" is a ubiquitous term that applies to LEDs as much as other types of things that emit light.
