This would be a fantastic offer if you don't mind staying miles out of town, sadly you will end up spending the difference of a better located hotel in taxi fares.

17 Jul 17#5
YOU might spend the difference on taxi fares. I wouldn't. Neither would a lot of HUKD users.

The Edinburgh one is just along the road from me. There is a bus stop right outside and the bus has you in the centre of Edinburgh in 10 minutes. So if you fancy Edinburgh go for it! (Food is supposed to be s hit tho)

Always had poor meals from their restaurants! Even the B&Bs have been awful at two different Village locations. Food was tasteless. Would avoid.
On a plus side, the rooms are great!

Mods do you have to encourage this "per person" pricing in the titles? It's infuriating.

17 Jul 17#21
Why hotel deal is PP per person? Do my wife need to pay price for half bed?So lets charge my dog 1/3 of the price...Just £17 each
Morsicatio to ricardasgudkovas
30 Jul 17#50
If, like me, your wife and your dog are the same, it's still £25 pp, sadly.

Totally agreed. Per-person prices should be banned.
In this case, there's the slight excuse that it's including a meal, but offers that don't should be banned.

Heat added. The Wirral hotel is probably better connected for Liverpool city centre than the Liverpool hotel, there are a couple of train stations not too far away

Be aware of added costs such as £5 to use their gym/swimming facilities where available

Also £5 per person per day too.
Unless you include it while booking your room then it's £5 (total) for everyone in that room.

Don't any of you people whingeing about distance from town centre own cars? Obviously this is no good if you don't have your own transport so it's not even worth you whingeing about this "drawback". Great deal, well done to poster.

18 Jul 17#33
After you have selected the hotel & dates, you have the option change the room type to 'family' if they are available. I just tried for Chester & the cost was £55 for family room for one night which includes the dinner for 2. You will need to pay extra for child's dinner. (See T&Cs)

I've stayed in Swansea (a short walk to the centre), Cardiff (a short walk to Whitchurch which has shops, cafes, bars and a train link to Cardiff centre), Newcastle (15 min walk to the Metro which will get you into the city centre in 25 mins).
They are indeed typically out of town - but they are relatively comfortable hotels at a reasonable price on these offers.

Its not right next to the city centre its about a 20-25 minute walk to get to Central station, it's a nice walk in the summer but wouldn't be that nice in the rain or cold after a night in town.
