Price has now increased to £44.99 - still not a bad price, however for the extra £5 I would personally look at the Impact 700 here

I agree the listing should be taken down and replaced - otherwise people are giving this product heat when it's been cheaper!

It's still a good deal, most backlit Cherry Mechanical keyboards of this quality are £60+. The OP has the price history in it, so I've no issue.
If it's that big of an issue, click the expired button yourself! cheeky

This post was originally £35 and now it's changed to £45 (to match the listing), I would expect/want the post to be expired! Not quietly changed! Now all the comments praising the price seems like people are talking about the new price when in fact they are talking about the the old price... very misleading! Not happy with Hotukdeals and it makes me wonder what motivations/interest they have to do this if it was intentional. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I rarely comment but I love the Hotukdeals' culture and community and I feel that this goes against it.

Yeah, it's Fn (the TB logo key) + 8 on the main keyboard. Fn+7 is On, Fn+0 is off.
I've not tried the Macros, unlikely to ever use them.

Probably not worth it just for the extra flashing LED modes is it. Modes you will only look at once most probably
MagicBoy
5 Jul 17#103
Also something to note - there is both a Hassium and a Hassium Pro from Deck. Unsure what the difference is, suspect the Pro has the LED features where the "not-Pro" doesn't. Couldn't find anything in a couple of minutes to confirm that however. The Impact 600 appears to be a modified Hassium not-Pro.

That is why link is provided but no mention if the Deck firmware will work or result in a bricked keyboard.
Waiting for someone who doesn't mind the possiblity of having to send a "DOA" board back to exchange for another.
WolFishAntics was sent a dud board, maybe he is can try flashing it first.

Can't you update to the latest deck hassium firmware to re-enable the gimm... er, features?
The keyboard is based on the Deck Hassium, the extra LED modes (just gimmicks) you see on Deck's own keyboard appear to be removed/disabled on the Turtle Beach Impact 600 firmware.
It makes sense that Deck would disable some of the features (gimmicks (_  ) found on their own models for the Turtle Beach Impact 600.
The Logitech G610 (also MX Brown switches) was a bargain at around £50, for £35 this is a steal.

Oh you're right, no English on the back of my sleeve either
Is it the num 8 you're using to get breathing to work? Although it doesn't 'breathe' when I press either on mine... No biggy just wanted to see the full functionality.
Also no idea how to programme (mostly assign) a macro - mech keyboard noob that I am... I see the light flashes then when I click a key combo it goes steady but what button is that then assigned to......?

I'm glad people are enjoying their keyboards, I'm certainly loving mine! It does look to be the Deck Hassium Pro, which according to this review, is an exceptionally well made keyboard @ $170-180; http://www.hardcoreware.net/deck-hassium-deck-francium-review/2/ . Apparently the only qualms were there poor led illumination through the double-shot keys, and the odd font, both issues resolved on this version.

Oddly mine came in a Scandinavia outer sleeve. UK keyboard, no English on the back.
Breathing mode works fine on mine .... well it cycles the brightness up and down anyway. It's a bit of a rudimentary effect after experiencing a full RGB Logitech G810.

Seems to be a great keyboard, mine came yesterday
Did anyone get the key replacement tool/spares with it? Also, can anyone get 'breathing' light mode working via turtle beach button + 8 as per instructions?

Me either, it's showing as a Hassium (not Pro) and has a different firmware revision. Deck tools state "not supported for this model".

Wow, I'm speechless! The quality on show here, for £35 is unbelievable; it's built like a tank, weight a ton (has to have a metal backplate, zero flex, no key chatter and very bright backlight. My K95 RGB isn't as well built (has chatter and key wobble) and that's a keyboard with a £200+ RRP! only negatives are no RGB and a slightly odd key font (Turtle Beach style). This keyboard = epic!

Not sure I like the clicky sound of the blues plus I occasionally game. Thought brown was the best medium ground?
I would like a new keyboard, brown key switches check, UK layout check, price check. Downsides for me are it's black and I will never buy another black keyboard after my last one. The 700 does look more like what I would like with the USB pass and headphone etc but that also is black, they are probably trying to shift the old black keyboard stock.

30 Jun 172#60
It is more than the name that commands the higher price. Mechanical keyboards are just that. Mechanical. Non mechanical keyboards use a membrane under the keys. The Turtle Beach keyboard above also offers anti-ghosting and key rollover. This helps when pressing more than 1 key at a time. Some keyboards get "confused" with mutli key presses. Useful for gaming. So it really is worth the extra if you use it for gaming.
louiselouise
30 Jun 17#59
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mahJROC69I It's a membrane keyboard that has a rubber dome with a switch inside, so it feels and sounds like a mech, but you probably know that.
I have a half-mech I bought from Amazon Warehouse for about £9 a while back, it does feel different to the (admittedly not Cherry MX, but Outemu) mechanical I've been using daily since April.

Steel reinforced design for better stability.
Cherry MX Switch - Unbeatable keystrokes that only Cherry switches can provide.
Extra keys and flexible attachments that make it easy to replace worn keys (says it comes with a keycap puller in other reviews, so assume that's what they mean)
Built-in Memory - Forget extra software. IMPACT 600 allows you to store your macros directly on the keyboard.
Backlit keys with multiple lighting modes.
3.5mm jack and USB ports.

These are brilliantly built keyboards, I have the 500 which is the ten-keyless non-backlit version, brilliant build, a joy to game/type on, and very solid/weighty. I wish the 500 was backlit, as that would make it the perfect keyboard for £35. Well worth the money, you'd think it's a £70 keyboard.
