From what I gather you need to put it somewhere where it can pick up your WiFi signal from your router and it will extend that from where it's placed. Think of your Wi-Fi from your router as a bubble, this adapter needs to be in that Wi-Fi bubble in order to extend it and than creates an extended bubble of the routers Wi-Fi.

right can someone explain these to me please so do I buy this then plug it in upstairs and it connects to my.eifi then pumps out a strong signal from that or do I put this next to my router then it makes the signal stronger?

Sainsburys instore have these for £13. Seen them in a few stores so maybe its national. I use one to make the signal stronger upstairs and it works great.

Voting cold as I bought this model earlier in the week and found that the Wifi signal to the bedroom I was looking to amplify it to was actually still stronger and faster *without* the use of this extender than it was with it! Going back to Amazon over the course of the weekend.

Only used to get 1 Wi-Fi bar upstairs once I bought this signal strength was much better and faster worth the investment

Would these be any good for a mi-fi hotspot in a campervan? I have 4G on my phone and I want other devices to connect to it... somehow..

Normally you would just make your phone a WiFi hotspot - should be plenty strong enough in one room without these (which would have to connect to your WiFi hotspot anyway)

I'm looking to get better/more responsive wifi in a room fairly far away from the router.
If I connect an ethernet cable from my router to this (10 metres away) will this be able to give me a wifi signal within my room with say a different wifi name to my router?

Am going to order more for the garden for when use the projector/Fire Stick outside for the Mayweather fight (party) and my dad's house.
