Doom's got a VR version heading our way. It's currently £19.99 on Steam and £17.59 on Greenman Gaming, but you can drop the price down to £15.83 using code E3OFFER.
DOOM® VFR brings the fast-paced, brutal gameplay fans of the series love to virtual reality. Immerse yourself in the UAC facility on Mars and the depths of Hell, as your skills are put to the test through intense combat and challenging puzzle-solving. Play as a cybernetic survivor who is activated by the UAC to fight the demon invasion, maintain order, and prevent catastrophic failure at the Mars facility. Lay waste to an army of demonic foes as you explore and interact with the outlandish world of DOOM from an entirely new perspective.
Set shortly after the demonic invasion on the UAC’s Martian research facility, you are the last known human survivor–until your death. Under a top-secret UAC operational contingency protocol, your consciousness is transferred to an artificial brain matrix. Your designated purpose: restore operational stability and use any means necessary to stop the onslaught of demons.
It's currently £19.99 on the PlayStation Store . You could drop that down to £18.04 using CDKeys with their 5% Facebook code.

Is this going to be compatible with the Rift?
I only ever saw them mention the Vive.

Fallout 4 VR was also only announced as supporting Vive. I was reading somewhere a few days back just after the announcement of FO4 VR that Bethesda and Oculus have had some kind of serious falling out. I'm not sure how true this is, but I'm sure, or hopeful support will be added somewhere down the line.

Guessing the ongoing Zenimax/Oculus (or has that now finished?) scandal is the contributor to that. Not all that surprising really.
Very tempting. Does anyone know how big a game/long this is?
I hold out hope for it running nicely in VR as DOOM runs incredibly smooth maxed out on an rx480

I'm guessing it's going to be another short vr game, as it's only £20 upon release.

It looks... kinda... pants. I mean D3 is awesome.
Moving by teleporting yourself across the map is super lame.
They should have used pocket strafe.....

And how would I play in the nude in the hot summer months without some painful duct tape incidents?

Short isn't so bad depending on how short. I'm not expecting 20+hrs but even 4+ would be good as VR goes

Edit: Appears its finished now https://www.polygon.com/2017/2/1/14474198/oculus-lawsuit-verdict
Either way, half a billion being paid to Zenimax (bethesdas parent company) is probably going to leave Oculus a little sore with them.
