Marginally cheaper than the last time I posted it  . Bound to make more than a few GOTY lists come December. It's £9.17 at wingamestore but you'll need to pay in USD.
Dead Cells is a rogue-lite, metroidvania action-platformer. You'll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle... assuming you’re able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.
It's very good and they have already begun adding extra things to the game. The main point is that it FEELS good to play, the character movement is slick and fast, the animation is perfect, the combat is satisfying, the fact it's sat within an interesting framework makes it a solid game. I paid full price and was happy, it's a game like Spelunky that you can return to over and over. Highly recommended!

Yep they nailed the combat and controls. It helps that it looks fantastic as well. I'm generally not a fan of roguelikes but this is a lot of fun to play. The new fire stuff is great  .
Somehow they've sold near 300,000 with basically no marketing at all. Apparently Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft are talking to them about console ports so. Hopefully this means they should have budget for everything they had planned and then some.

Totalbiscuit says (though no video review yet):
Dead Cells is a game that basically took my laundry list of personal issues with roguelites and said, "ok, lets fix all of those". Its great

Fantastic game, played a preview of it a while back, decided to buy it but I'm going to wait until they finish it. I don't like playing early access stuff whilst they're still making a game.
