Argos have quite a few special offers on Garden Solar lights at the moment, have been looking for a few more because my girls like to think they're magical fairy lights (the garden would be full of these if they had their way). Use code HOME20 wys £25 on Homewares (these sets are included in that promo) Was looking at some of the smaller sets ie Collection Stainless Steel Solar Marker Lights - Set of 6 now half price @ £5.99 (pic below) but then came across a larger set of HOME Solar Black Lights - Set of 12 now £10.99 which I thought would be better, however on further perusal I found an even bigger set of 20 for just £14.99 (item on link & in thread pic)
Great deals! Bought the set of six cracked glass ones from Aldi for £12.99 ( think ) four not working 3weeks in, going to get a refund. Will be checking the reviews out on Argos. Thanx for post Op :smiley:

Sainsburys currently selling ones similar to the first photo for 75p each. Bought a dozen last week and look very nice.

Some of the simpler ones look very similar to the lights you can get in Poundland in a pack of 2 for £1.

The black ones (20) are half the wattage of the others, 0.03w compared to 0.06w. The pictures do tend to show that difference too.
I quite like the 18, but want to spend £25 to get the bill to £20, 2 sets doesn't do it by 2p! OK what's the cheapest thing Argos sell, LOL.

I ordered some glasses as I was after some pint ones (4 for £2.49) but there is Simple Value Non-Stick Roaster for 99p that works with the code too so £20.78 for 2 of the 18 piece sets & the roasting tin

I have bought numerous packs (and individual ones) over the past few years - all worked well to start with, but none have lasted more than a year or 2.
Very disappointing given the 'green' overtones - SOLAR powered, yet they seemed deliberately designed to be a throw-away item. I spend about £10 - £20 a year just to replace the ones no longer working.
Can anyone recommend something which actually lasts?

Think the best thing is to take the in during winter as they don't get much of a charge during the day and the constant rain eventually gets in

I've bought several types of these solar lights...they all fail within a year, new rechargeable batteries don't help.
Very disappointing indeed!
Don't waste your money.
