Essentially no HDR on this particular model it has the ability to accept the signal but does not have the necessary hardware to do anything with it.

This is the problem with TV's like this. They say it's HDR because it supports it. It can't display it though as it's a normal 8bit panel.
Like saying a tv is 1080p when it's really 720p but can take in 1080p signals and scale them. It's utter bs that companies can advertise them like this when it's just a lie. Has neither the screen colours nor brightness to do hdr at all.

I have this tv and an xbox one S. when connected it gives you a message saying that you have connected to a HDR tv and upgrades the graphics. Played Halo 5 and FH 2. Looked excellent.
