say your friend has got it for that price in London so if they are not aware of such offer please can they ask their manager for the deal to be authorised. The initial deal was for standard Sky TV, I then asked if they could do Sky Q, thus they said 1TB.

Anyone had any joy, as an existing customer getting Sky to waive the fee for Sky Q? I checked on my account the other day and they were asking for £200.

You can easily get the £200 down to a maximum of £60 by taking out the multiscreen subscription (£12 a month). I was offered it at £60 to include one mini box as well (normally an extra £40)

As someone currently paying £27 for this deal but with free anytime calls, I can say I'll be switching back to Virgin at the end of my 12 month contract.
The Sky Q Box is a dreadful piece of ****.

I found the Sky Q box to be miles better than the Virgin box. Nicer UI, faster too, not had any issues with mine and been using it since November.

I have Sky on a discounted deal, but most of the content I watch is on the freeview channels, the number of times I've ended up watching only fools and horses on Gold
As for the box, I'm on my second and have regular sound drop outs wired through my amp, which I have to reset to stop. Looks nice though!

Dig your heels in as well if you have time, should be able to get 60% off fairly easily and up to 75% off if you're lucky (not sure about Q though)
