You might as well drop two pounds coins down the side of the drivers seat, it'll have the same effect on the vehicles performance.

Tends to up my mpg by about .6 any time I use it. Drops back down after a few weeks. Can't say it improves performance on my current car but used to drive an old Megane coupe and it would struggle to start sometimes. Possibly a placebo effect but seemed to sort it temporarily when I'd use it.

Depends what you claim you're improving performance of. You're actually reclaiming original performance not improving original performance.

Has anyone looked at the deal on Wilko's site?
Both the Redex diesel and petrol Cleaner state "Email me when in stock".
Therefore it is an irrelevant deal as far as I am concerned, because you are unable to purchase either of the items in the title.
All this disagreement over nothing, it must be the heat!!

Put some in my lawnmower the other week and it got rid of the erratic running after the first tankful. I've used it before in motorbikes but never really formed an opinion that is until it fixed the lawnmower.

sure - I can report back on 2 petrol & 1 diesel car/s I own - all pretty old 1996 x1 & 1997 x2 - Redex really does give them a new spring in their step, ie it cleans up the fuel injectors and they all regained quite a bit of oomph & smoothness when you stick your foot down
probably more useful with old crocks like mine than with newer vehicles

Only 11 years as a mechanic, apprentice in my eyes, battery on charge interlinked with a good one to start charging,no draining of fuel, you sound ignorant and arrogant wanting proof, how cant that be done you moron ? so its first on my ignore list, bye.

Im a mechanic and have been one for 11 years. Thats a load of crap! so it just started right up you didnt do anything to it?
Fuel filter would be clogged to **** and the injectors would be shot or if it was an older carb model then that would need to be disassembled and cleaned out. It might start up but it wouldnt run very well at all and you would have to drain the petrol in the tank because it would unusable as fuel goes bad anywhere between a month and 3 months so after a year the car wouldnt run on what ever was left in the tank unless you put a fuel stabliser in before hand or you didnt have petrol in it.
Someones always got a story that defys logic and cant be backed up by any proof.

Most manufacturers stipulate additives not to be used in fuel or oil...
Modern engines/oil/fuel not required.

Well if the car is new you wont ever need such a thing but if your car is older or has sat with fuel in it for long periods of time injectors and carbs can become quite dirty and the car will run like **** and products like this and sea foam can help alot. Besides.... its £2......

Well if doesn't improve THE PERFORMANCE of your engine what's the ferkin point?!? WOW MY ENGINE IS SO CLEAN BUT YET NO DIFFERENT!
Modern petrol additives prolong the life of your injectors not some £2 chuck in the tank stuff. I've got a 16 year old TT and it had an ENGINE DECOKE (possibly not necesarry but I didn't pay for it) to clean it not ferkin Redex. The only way you'll amazingly dirty injectors now is to find a Golf GTi that's been left in a garage since 1989. Some people on Pistonheads swear Shell V-power does a great cleaning job.
I have actually cleaned carbs and it requires more than running some petrol additive through it. It's a bit like putting washing up liquid in the bowl and expecting to not have to scrub.

I told you the point are you blind or stupid? it prolongs the life of your injectors by cleaning them meaning you wont have to spalsh out on new ones and as a result of cleaning them if they were dirty enough you might notice better performance.
"Modern petrol additives prolong the life of your injectors"
I hear this alot yet none of you can tell me what these additives are in modern petrol because in the basic stuff theres actually very little certainly none that could clean the injectors. Its the more expensive stuff that contains these additives and even the premium stuff has no known additives that can clean out a dirty injector because if they did the injectors would never get dirty in the first place!!!!!

I used to be sceptical about fuel treatments until I tried the Millers diesel power ecomax. There was a noticeable improvement in performance and the engine ran quieter. Never tried Redex though.

The product description says nothing about improving performance. This is the equivalent of cleaning your car except this cleans the injectors which can help prolong their life and if they are really dirty you might actually notice a performance improvement. Why do you think you're funny? or that you know what you're talking about, all you achieved here was making yourself look stupid.

Redex has been around for very, very many years. I used to use it in cars some 30 years ago. It was great for removing crap from engines then, and I still use it in my old motorcycles and lawnmowers.

The manufacturer website is very coy about what is actually in Redex and what it actually does. For example Yet there is no evidence presented at all that it really does these things.
It's hard not to draw the conclusion that this is snake oil.
