I'd buy it for use as a light stand or similar, but wouldn't put my camera on it.
I'd only buy a tripod that has independent leg movement and not one that's restricted by being connected to the centre column.
Yes, It might say a slightly lower max weight of 2.2kg - but lets face it, if you're looking to buy a tripod in this price range, its unlikely youre going to have a camera/lens combo that weighs more than 2kg.
And I can confirm that the thread on this will fit ALL but the largest cameras - its standardised 1/4"-20 UNC thread that goes back around 100 years.
Metrification of camera threads just never happened!!

It's a 1/4 in Thread mount, which is pretty standard on most cameras. Bigger cams tend to have a bigger thread mount size requirement though.
