I use this mainly for holding a mobile phone gimbal and it works well. The height of the tripod is perfect and all the features work as they should. It's light to carry in it's bag and easy to set up. For the price and for ease of use you can't go wrong.

This tripod was a bad buy for me. I wanted to attach my Nikon D600 with a fairly heavy lens - 24-85mm - and specifically I wanted to be able to turn the camera sideways for portrait mode pics and still be stable to get max sharpness. I chose this one because it has a fitting for turning the camera bed through 90 degrees and also because it has a hook underneath to hang a weight for added stability. To be fair, I also bought on reasonable price and lightness of weight. It doesn't do the basic job it's intended for. The attachment plate doesn not lie absolutely flat in the normal position (it's raised slight at an angle), When you turn it through 90 deg it's highly unstable. Far from getting sharper pics, I've now got camera shake I never had before. This tripd might be OK for a very very lightweight point and shoot camera and for photographers who are not too fussy about their pictures. But not for anyone who is trying to take better, sharper photos.Read full review

Although I have only recently purchased this product and have not had the opportunity to test it in all situations the times I have used the tripod it has proved itself to be more than suitable. I made the purchase based mainly on price and weight and on the face of it I cannot see how much better a £300.00 / £400.00 tripod could be for the situations I am likely to use it in. I can only assume for now that the inbuilt hook, to which I can attach my back pack, will prove to be useful to stabilise the tripod in windy / exposed locations where the light weight may make it sightly unstable.

The product itself was a bargain at £16. It’s super light which is exactly what I needed, it works super straight forward just like any other tripod. The only thing I think that could be improved is the component that the camera attaches to. It’s sturdy, but you can have the camera angles upwards and downwards as well, and I find when I have it faving downwards, any nudge to the tripod and the camera will shake a little bit. It’s not fallen off but when you want to get a really sharp picture you have to make sure to keep some space between you and the tripod.
