Greenmangaming sent me a promo code for 27% off PUBG for PC reducing game to £19.70. The game requires a free Steam account.
1) Must be an existing GMG member (or sign up I guess) and check your email for an email from GMG which I received today for the 27% off promo code. The promo code expires on 23 June.
2) Promo code is unique to you (account specific) I received and used the two promo codes I had due to having two GMG accounts for a friend and I.
Note the upcoming Steam sale may reduce standard £26.99 price however I bit the bullet and purchased from Greenman gaming, if you wait for Steam sale you might be able to use a PayPal £5 off coupon on minimum £20 spend on Steam see here
PUBG is currently £22.99 or £21.84 at CDKeys.com after 5% off code so £19.70 is a good price I feel.
Hope this is of interest.
Update 22/6/17 looks like PayPal £5 off promo for £20 Steam spend expired, the Steam price is still £26.99 after summer sale commenced. GMG is still cheapest currently.

Not really a rip off, since it's the guy who helped create H1Z1, but just doing his own thing with the Unreal 4 engine and it's far better than King of the Kill and any DayZ mod.
Maybe have a read up on Playerunknown or Brendan Greene, before claiming it's a rip off.

I've both KOTH and PUBG.
Anybody claiming they're not similar or comparable is kidding themselves, but, H1Z1 plays and looks like a cheap toy now.
PUBG has literally removed any reason to play KOTH. PUBG has better playability by a factor of 10, the same is true for weapons, weapon mods, graphics, vehicles, design, sound... Everything.
If you have a PC and like gaming, buy it. Play it for 3/4 hours to understand the mechanics and I can guarantee you'll have fun.

Despite being in the same genre these are 2 very different games. Definitely not a rip off
OT: Great price for a brilliant game. If you are on the fence about this just get it, join some groups on Discord to get a good squad going and you'll have a blast.

People see BR games and jump to conclusions without even knowing who created this. I see the above comment so often and if they even played the game they would see they are 2 totally different games.

This game has got me back into pc gaming. I hadn't touched my pc for about a year but now we're on this almost every night. It's just a complete blast, every match is different and exciting. Well worth this price.

Because H1Z1 was the game that started the genre?

Not really comparable to DayZ, different type of game.

Well my comparison was actually about the gameplay, one being a survival simulator with zombies, the other a battle royale game with no zombies.
But since you made this joke, this game is certainly not in a better state than DayZ by any measure. This is an early access game and it certainly shows. Frozen/black screens, crashes to desktop, poor frame rates. Works enough of the time to still be enjoyable but it's certainly a lot buggier and crash-prone than DayZ is these days.
Source: played a lot of DayZ and PUBG over past 2 weeks.

A rip of h1z1? So was h1z1 a rip-off of Arma - Battle Royale?
I've played all 3 and PUBG is the best by far. I'll admit it still has it's bugs etc, but that's to be expected when it's in beta (aren't most games these days?)

I'd say 1-15 games I'll experience an issue, either a hard crash of the game or server disconnect.
Apart from the odd "WTF why crash now" moment it doesn't really impact me, largely because it's so easy to get in to another game, 30 seconds and you're back in another game.
I'd give it a solid 8.5/10 based on my own enjoyment.
The new player controlled Zombie mod that's coming sounds like a riot!!!

Yes I agree, the matchmaking times are very quick and even when it crashes you haven't invested too much time into the session so it doesn't matter.
