Mobius Action Camera are matchbox sized and are easy to hide. never quite understand these people with the huge dash cams taking up half the windscreen. Ideally you want something you can leave in place and not have to remove and take with you OR hide in the glovebox or under the seat where a smack head would never look.

Better of buy TWO Mobius Action cameras. Can record in 1080p at 30 fps or 720 at 60fps! and still havin £40 left over
YOU CAN'T USE NORMAL SD CARDS IN HD CAMERA SYSTEMS LIKE THESE, THEY BURN OUT VERY QUICKLY AND DON'T GIVE A WARNING WHEN THEY HAVE GONE, WHEN YOU TRY TO WATCH THE FOOTAGE ITS NOT THERE. YOU NEED TO BUY SPECIAL CARDS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO BE WRITTEN TO WITH HIGH VOLUMES OF DATA CONTINUOUSLY, A 1080P CAMERA WILL USE ABOUT 650MB FOR A TWO MINUTE CLIP! SAN DISK MAKE THEM ALTHOUGH THE NAME SLIPS MY MIND.

The cards you are referring to are called "High Endurance"
Can anyone recommend a dash cam that's pretty inconspicuous? Maybe something 5hst clips onto the back of the rear view mirror.

The e-prance models are pretty cheap and have a small footprint.

why do you want it to be inconspicuous.
To be honest most are, you can't see them because of reflections, or you see it and think it is a GPS. Or even you don't notice it because you are focusing on the road.

I use a Viofo A119 which is mounted at the top of my windscreen on the dots around my rear view mirror. from the outside all you can see is the camera lens which is about the size of a 1p coin.
Fairly small and non-shiny. Also the power cable goes to into the suction mount so can be permanently left in. The camera can be detached/attached in 2 secs (glovebox when parked, although it has parking mode)

I ve got this cam; pretty s***t. Give it a miss. The power cable dodgy connection, poor connector to windscreen- flimsy. Unit it self good built- shame about connectors and connections- AVOID!

Is that using the connectors that comes in box or have you hard-wired? I'm thinking of hard-wire option and presume that is a different set of cables.

I've had this one for about 6 months and it's not bad. It's not worth more than £100, but it's not terrible either. It needs to be updated to the latest firmware (because the auto white balance wasn't working and daytimes were being overexposed), and as hr08 mentioned, the power cable is terrible. Mine lasted a week. Thankfully the device is powered via mini usb, so if you have a usb -> cigarette adapter plug, it'll work fine.
Also British Summer time gets reset if the device runs out of power, for some reason.
Hard to recommend this at anything more than £60. But if it lasts me another year, it pays for itself in insurance discount.
