charging cable for for android with micro USB. Protects charging port in phone. Small magnetic charging point sits in phone and then cable connects to this magnetically protecting the charging port in the phone should you pull phone whilst charging then port does not get tugged damaging it so phone lasts longer.

Cannot resist for a fiver; sounds like a good idea. May end up in drawer with all the other cheap carp I've bought over the years.

I doubt it i already have two and cost me a lot more than this, its a really good deal, i use mine all the time. my last phone died due to damage from charging, this stops all of that. I have one in my room and one in the car

worth while attempting to solve a very very common issue . I imagine its the main cause to pay for repairs after the warranty has expired.( after broken screens)

Same item available for less on eBay (e.g. 3.70 GBP). I have two of these and although they're ok they're not perfect. My kids' Hudl2s only charge when powered off using these for some reason (maybe they deliver insufficient current).
Update: the (cheaper) ones I have don't have the 'nylon weave' if that makes any difference, they're just white plastic

I find the nylon weave is what makes the cable so good and it protects it. also my cats don't chew it, which is an big added bonus as they have chewed through several cables that do not have the nylon weave

I can't vouch for the quality of this one but I got similar one and love it, it does "pull" off quite easy if you pick your your phone up or pull it but sitting charging it's great and the little bit that stays in the phone is unnoticeable after a short while

Is it easy to remove from your phone whenever you need to?

yes and easy to put on, you ust place the end near it and it snaps on

yes very easy but you don't need to remove it at all i have found. i have had my two one for tablet adn one for my phonr for some months now, i never need to take it out

I have a version of it that cost me about £9.99 nearly a year ago and I really have to get my fingers behind the micro usb plug and wiggle it to remove it from the phone. It's pretty much doing nothing. If I had 4 of them and they were all inserted into devices then everything would be fine but if I need a charger and I haven't got mine with me then I don't like having to remove the plug to insert someone else's charger. I feel like repeatedly doing so will definitely damage the phone charging point. If your charging port at the bottom of your phone is already damaged then it's a perfect fix. I buy a lot of stuff like this, I guess because I can, just like everyone else, but I do feel it's a novelty item and I prefer to use an Anker USB to Micro USB lead as they seem to charge quicker and I trust the brand.

techmoan did a review of various magnetic cables ( https://youtu.be/Euz00E3otlQ ) it seems to depend on how well they snap back together, some of them are annoying junk.

Reviews seem to suggest the connection is poor, there's a reason they don't supply these from the factory, and probably why Apple dropped MagSafe. I would just be wary, that's all.

I ve had mine a good while and it charges fine, and possibly the reason they don't supply from factory is that its the biggest cause of phone damage is picking up your phone with a normal connecttor and tugging on it by accident. my last three phones went that way. my current phone is in top condition as a result of using this

One of the reasons will be that they want to sell you a wireless charger at exorbitant mark up.

I bought one (from aliexpress) and from the pictures can't see if this is the same, but it only had little bumps instead of the usual pins to hold it into the port, therefore it would just come out with the magnet... I've never used it because it doesn't stay in properly.
