Usually sell for £1.95, but now half price -that's why they are £0.97.
At that price I'm going to take the plunge and try some, but from ASDA where they are £2.
Why?
If ASDA aren't 10% cheaper than their competitors they give a voucher for the difference. Therefore the 97p per pack is reduced to the equivalent of 87p per pack. Although you give ASDA £2, you get £1.13 to spend on other items (in a separate shop).

You buy it from Tescos take reciept to asda customer car show reciept and buy from asda at lower price and then go back to tescos and return the sausage - hey presto get 1.13 for your troubles :man: - joking im sure its easier than that

Dispell - initially not really, but then it's great (with the majority of the grocery shopping)

ASDA compare goods with Morrison, Sainsbury, Tesco and Waitrose (abbreviated to MSTW for the rest of this)
Create an account on the ASDA website.
You then have a choice of how to shop - delivery, click/collect or in-store.
For an in-store shop you need to enter the barcode from the receipt onto the website.
If the total of the comparable shop is not 10% less than that of either MSTW, you get a printable voucher for the difference.
Obviously T&C's apply, the main ones being:
To get the voucher at least 8 different items must be purchased (but only 1 needs to be comparable).
When using the in-store voucher the original receipt must be handed in too.

Before shopping, usually on-line, I check what deals are about using mysupermarket.co.uk
and make 2 shopping lists - one where it is 10% cheaper at ASDA than MSTW and another for all other items (including ones that won't be compared). Unless there is anything that is desperately urgent on the first list, I only get the specific goods from the second list.

I know, in some cases, I will be giving ASDA more cash than I would to MSTW, but in return I'll be getting free goods for more than the value of this (which is when I separately purchase the items from the first list which are at least 10% cheaper than MSTW).

A great thing about the online shop is that the vouchers are based on what is ordered, not what is delivered. A recent order of mine:
Order value: £62
Item not delivered: 2x20 cans strongbow £28
Money Paid: £34
Vouchers received: £25
Net cost: £9
The delivered items at the cheapest of MSTW would have been £21.
Saving £12 (or 35%) on the cheapest of MSTW.

Please be aware that the voucher you will receive is based on the total price of the comparable shop, not the individual items.

oh, no I didn't think you were being rude. I just figured you might have thought I was being serious about the misprice... my humour is too subtle sometimes. Cheers for explaining about the voucher, I'll have to give it a go :wink:

But be careful - a couple of times in the beginning I got carried away and now have enough fabric conditioner, washing liquid to last a few months, a freezer I can't fit any more into, and not much cupboard space left either).
I'm thinking of getting another freezer. It's a shame they don't do them on their website so I can use the vouchers!! :smiley:
