Very good picture with Passive 3D, comes with magic remote and smart features. Good sound quality with 2.1 speakers designed by Harman Kardon.
Price had been inflated to £899 recently but back down to a more reasonable £599.
Currently TopCashBack are offering 10% on LG TV purchases at Currys (so £49.91 available as it's minus vat) for the next 4 days, so that gets it down to £550 eventually. Not as cheap as it got in Feb, but I don't have a time machine
Got mine ordered for delivery on Saturday, so hope this helps anyone else who may be debating on whether to purchase.

The 3d on this (mines the 55" model) is brilliant, only bettered by OLED c6 upwards imo. Releasing 3d on crappy 1080p sets with active glasses is what killed it off, if it was released now it would take off.
Some people had received dodgy sets where they get cross talk on top quarter or bottom but mines perfect.

Another £100.00 and I will bite, not interested in 3D what does this have on the 770v?

It's basically the same tv with the addition of the passive 3D. For the sake of £21 (cheapest 770V appears to be £529) it's not a bad deal if you want 3D (and the passive 3d on this has been well reviewed).
Sorry just realised that Argos have a deal on the 770V, so the difference is a about £75, so yeah it's all about whether you want the 3D or not.

and a 5 year warranty...but how likely the TV will fail in years 2 to 5?

i really don't care about 4k in the slightest, but I've lots of 3d movies but 49" is too small :disappointed:

Think the 850v also has higher wattage audio. 40w vs 20w. I have the 850 and it does have decent audio for a thin tv
