thanks for the comment. I'm not used to taking into account resolution. Is 1920x1080 significantly better?

Yes. 1366x768 is the minimum vertical height for most windows to fit. It's also too small for multi-window whereas 1920x1080 is probably the minimum that's usable for it. If you want the bigger UI elements get the higher res screen and use scaling.

Eh? An i3 5th gen, SSD not included.

It does come with a 256GB SSD

This was £359 a few weeks ago, and is still £364 now.
I bought one a few months ago. I'm pleased with the build quality and speed. The sound quality and volume (turned up) is poor though. Apart from that it's a solid machine that does what you'd expect.

It's not overly difficult but you do have to unscrew and detach the keyboard/touchpad. That's more tricky than just unscrewing a hatch on the underside and swapping the HDD/SSD or RAM. A lot of laptops are starting to regress into this less friendly way of swapping components, sadly.

Linx 12v64 with FullHD 1920x1080, same processor&memory - but only with 64GB built-in storage (extendable), for only £179 @Sainsburys. You choose.

Pretty simple to get to the HDD to swap it for a SSD click.

Not according to the blurb from your link: "256GB SSD Not Included". Regardless, the i3 part is the main problem with your comparison argument

It wasn't my link. However, if you do read the link correctly it does state
Solid State Drive 256GB SSD
Hard Drive Not Included - 256GB SSD
Unfortunately many companies detail laptops, incorrectly, this way, where they class the Hard Drive as different to an inbuilt SSD drive.

Considering buying for personal use - any feedback? I'm hoping the relatively low RAM will be offset by SSD

Do be aware this has no expansion slots underneath so you would have to take apart the laptop to change hardware components.
