I've one of these but ended up having to take the batteries out as the constant alarm was giving me a headache and making me feel sick and sweaty.

Got one from Xiaomi (but made by Honeywell) with wireless notification to my smartphone - in case I'll be away and something will happen - I just phone for Fire Brigade if I receive one (hope NEVER not)
... additionally I've bought wireless door bell (same - someone will ring - I'll be away - I'll know someone rang to my door).
I've got magnetic sensor on my door in case thief and motion sensor - everything for few £

It's a carbon monoxide alarm, not a fire alarm.
Don't phone the fire brigade; switch any gas appliances off and open the windows.
Get the appliances serviced before using them again.
