Liking this! Nope, it's not DAB but it is a Bluetooth alarm clock speaker and comes with a 2600mAh power bank to take with you in the morning, should you need it. Also it's NFC which will save some messing about. Touch screen buttons on top as well as an AUX input and a backup feature in case there's a power cut, you'll still get your alarm. Obviously you can always use your phone for an alarm too, but hey.
There's a USB socket on the side for charging your phone, which is always a Bully Bonus. All in all for what you get, it's pretty good and handy. Around £40 - £70 elsewhere.
The world's first Bluetooth stereo alarm clock radio featuring K-CELL removable power cells - allowing you to wake up recharged and eject the battery for power during your day. Kineta gives you the energy to keep moving wherever life takes you. NFC (Near Field Communication) Technology, Instantly connects via touch compatible device to your iHome unit for a quick and easy Bluetooth connection.

I have this, works really well. Very impressed with sound. The touch buttons are not that great as you have no notches to tell you what you have pressed in the dark, but good all round alarm clock.

I just don't get why manufacturers put blue or white lights on clocks designed to be used in the bedroom when it is dark. When the room is dark these types of digital clock light up the room and is very distracting if you are light sensitive who you are trying to sleep. I have an old alarm clock with orange coloured digits that do not light the room up.

Totally agree but sadly stupid manufacturers think all led's and displays should be eye watering blue. Should be outlawed I reckon.

If you can find the parts laserprint an all black photo or presentation to a transparancy, you can then cut it down to size and either put it inside or tape over the display to create a darkening filter for such bright displays.

So, what's this NFC thing anyway? Is it something I need?

This is so that you can easily pair your phone with the device. Instead of messing around with bluetooth settings, you just tap your phone on the NFC pad and it will connect via bluetooth without any fuss.
