Nike have some really good offers on Hurley gear, including a fair few wetsuits, shorts and flip flops. From what I can see, most of this is much more expensive elsewhere and we don't often see price drops like this.
Mostly Men's but prices are brill for most, I've dropped some below as examples. Free delivery if you sign up to Nike+
Surf wetsuits by the look of it, not suitable for open water swimming I suspect.

From the ones I've looked at, they're almost all (if not all) 2mm, which for surfing/swimming in the UK would be inadequate really, you want at least 3/4mm unless you're in warm seas.

In the summer you need a 3/2, or 2/2, but in the winter you need a 5/3. The 503 wetsuits are therefore great for the winter, the 303 ones will do summer and the shoulder months (May - Sep), and the 202 suits will do the summer. Hope that helps!

Standard UK summer surfing wetsuit is 3/2mm and on really warm days you could wear a 2/2 no problem and sometimes a shortie. As for swimming, specific swimming wetsuits are obviously better as they contain buoyancy in the back and legs and are then thinner in places for mobility. These are a tidy price but I normally buy on King of watersports or the wetsuit outlet.

No idea how this compares Sainsburys wetsuit. I bought one for me and one for my son last week, but £28 seemed a bargain - it's 3/2mm. (£38 for a full wetsuit.

The most important thing about a wet-suit is the stitching. Cheap flat-lock or over-lock stitching will flush water in fast, whereas sealed seams like 'glued & blind' stitch make a huge difference. Sealed seams won't flush, no flushing means the trapped water (that warms up with your body heat) stays in place. A correct fit is also of paramount importance for this reason, especially around the small of the back (kidney area) where you want the suit as close fitting as possible. A tight fitting suit (that's comfortable) with a good seal around the neck, wrist and ankle areas will make a huge difference.
A well made thinner summer wet-suit with good neoprene and sealed stitching (that's also a good fit) can out perform a thicker 'cheap' suit using poor quality neoprene or low cost stitching, quite easily.
Ultimately, a good wet-suit enables you to stay in the water for a lot longer!

While you're all here, I've wangled a load of scuba gear but need a suit. Probably will use it in UK coastal water and Med. Suggestions? Cheap but durable etc etc. Thx.
