Very good price but I'd pay more (maybe nearer £120) for an IPS screen with wider viewing angles

I'm looking around for a monitor. Is this the kind of thing you're talking about?

The spec. says the viewing angle (H) is 170. Presumably any other monitor maxes out at 180..

Your link just goes to tesco groceries but whatever monitor you are looking at , look for the panel type , there are 3 main types , TN , VA & IPS
I won't go into detail about each one but IPS is the best for colour reproduction and viewing angles but generally speaking has the slowest response times which might be a problem if you are a keen gamer

That looks like a stunning looking monitor! Any ideas on quality though? I can't find any reviews, Amazon have 3 very short reviews.

TN panel? nothanksjeff
Try this IPS monitor (manufacturer refurbished)
Always bargain monitors on ebay. Good modern monitors rarely fail in my experience - I've bought literally hundreds on ebay kitting out offices on a budget. Just have to pick the right montior from a good seller.

I'm no expect, not even an armchair expert but I've always thought that the reason some flatscreens are not so nice to use is their narrower viewing angle, unless viewed directly the colours soon wash out. I've got a few AOC IPS monitors and a TV that has 178 degree viewing angles which seem better when viewed off-centre. So it might mean this monitor is not quite so good unless viewed straight on.
