You get the DLC characters which came out for the original. If you didn't buy them for the original, they won't be included in the upgrade.

2 new characters, Baiken and Answer, game has had some balance changes and there is new story content as well and a bunch of quality of life features which frankly you may not notice if you are a more casual player, being able to change characters within the training menu for example.
