Thanks for pointing it out OP, but this book is dreadful.

Interesting, I haven't read GSAW yet. Some reviewers concur with your view suggesting that reading it spoiled their memory of TKAM, others say when read in its own right it is a good book. Anyway, at £1.99 it's a great deal and IMO worth spending to form your own opinion.
I preferred this book - TKAM seemed sanitised and sentimental compared to this.

This book is terrible. It's rambling and pointless and then about 30 pages from the end it just starts wrapping.
I'd not expect too much if your going to read / listen to this.

TKAM is one of my favourite books and audio books of all time. I enjoyed this development of some of the characters a good read, however not as iconic as its predecessor, but then how could it be.
Opening post
Go Set a Watchman is set during the mid-1950s and features many of the characters from To Kill a Mockingbird some 20 years later.
Scout (Jean Louise Finch) has returned to Maycomb from New York to visit her father, Atticus. She is forced to grapple with issues both personal and political as she tries to understand both her father's attitude toward society and her own feelings about the place where she was born and spent her childhood.
An instant classic.
