Just purchased a Garmin Forerunner from CEX. They are not brand new but if you get one rated A then it's very good condition. Can't go wrong at these prices for a GPS watch, perfect if your a beginner or on a budget.
Hope it's useful.

Hmmm not something I would like the idea of... too much stale sweat festering.

There are two left in this model, however if you go on the site there are different Garmin GPS models available, all low prices, even compared to eBay.
Gaz84 what do you expect for £30? I've had this model and it works well, there are newer models like the 235 Forerunner with smart notifications, built in heart rate etc but I havent got £200.

It's been this price for a while at CeX and yes, it's. a half decent price but this model was never much loved by Garmin or the running community. It has this awful touch bezel technology that basically doesn't work if you aren't precise, are running/moving, it's raining, it's slightly more humid than normal or it feels like it. It also demands an ANT+ USB stick for transfer which is a bit annoying. For that reason alone, I'd say pay for the 220 that CeX frequently stock at around £55-60 which has Bluetooth transfer.

Got through 2 405's both of them had a lovely feature of charging to 99% or 0% and then rebooting forever. Garmin will sell you a repair, As others have mentioned the touch bezel is rubbish, particularly in the rain.

I fully agree, the bezel on this particular model was frustrating at times especially when it was raining however once I discovered the sensitivity setting and turned it down it was ok. Never experienced problems with charging/rebooting though.
I still think the watch is good value along with all the other Garmin Forerunners on CEX. I was more trying to share the website rather than this particular watch as I didn't know they even sold watches.
I actually went for the Garmin Forerunner 25 on this site for £60 which is great price considering it has bluetooth, smart features and it has a pedometer.

I have a 405 and a 410 (basically same model) and can't fault them. For £30 it's a steal but you have to make sure you're happy to buy a heart rate strap and your ant stick for connectivity.

I would be very wary - I had a 405CX which I loved, but it's now useless. They are pretty much at the end of their life.

I'm not saying go out and get a 235, I personally just bought a 630 from CEX for only £130!
But that particular model is rather old and your not going to get all that much use out of it and could be put to better use on a slightly newer model is all.
Oh and just to add, when I purchased my 630, I got sent a 405 by accident and it didn't even come with the charger. So keep an eye out for that too

That's a bargain for the 630 and I'm shocked to think they can sell a watch without a charger... I would be sending it straight back.

If you want a cheap as chips running watch and want to spend no more than £30-40 then you really should be looking at the TomTom Runner (original.) The main watches are up to their third gen now but you still can't knock them for simplicity, ease of use and VFM.
