Am I the only one that's utterly sick of Farcry games?

I think they appeal to a particular type of gamer and for those people they scratch the itch well.
Personally I didn't get into 3 at all so I haven't tried any of the newer ones. Probably a minority opinion but I thought 2 was a brilliant game, something a little different to the norm with a lot of good ideas. But that was arguably even more repetitive than these newer ones and sure enough I never played it all the way through. Still have fond memories of it though.
With this collection if the box art is as pictured that's a bit of a negative, but i'll give heat for the price.

No you aren't the only one. I really loved the third and was so disappointed with the fourth instalment. Everything was just re-used (animations etc) and the only thing that changed was the setting. Never played Primal though.

Don't get me wrong - they're solid games, but they're just churning them out now just like the Assassin's Creed franchise. Ubisoft need to let their franchises breathe a little.

The story in 3 was sensational, that game was great in my opinion. I personally loved number 2 as well, it was incredibly immersive despite its obvious shortcomings. 4 didn't quite grab me even though it was gorgeous. I do fear them falling in to a bit of a re-skinning trap, hopefully 5 is a step in the right direction.

I thought 3 was the best one, mainly due to Michael Mando as Vas. 4 i thought was okay but not really as interesting and did just feel like a reskin. Primal bored me to tears.

Thought 3 was a really interesting game until the first island finished, strangely if they had ended the game there rather than insist on the churn through the second island I would have better memories of the game. Far Cry 4 was better paced but lacked the characterisation of the third, only finished it around a month ago and can't remember who I was fighting (other than Blue vs Red).

didnt 4 and primal take it 1 step further and reuse the same map as well? (i have not played either, still half way through 3. 1 and 2 were solid titles tho, but i do agree ubisoft franchises are just as bad as activision with their COD titles imo.
that said, the next game interests me. i think i will jump from 3 and go straight to 5 (once its in the bargain bin)
hot for the price tho i suppose
