"Max. 120kg" - just buy two of them if you are a bit chunkier ...

Anyone know of a safety device for these?
I'm worried about leaving kids playing on this and a mishap occuring.

Not sure if this is a serious question but how about making sure it's not hanging too high off the ground? Put some foam tiles/cushions/bean bag on the ground underneath? Full harness based fall arrest system with audible alarm?

just wrap the kids in bubble wrap first...

Yes I'm serious, have heard horror stories of kids getting strangled after flipping the hammock, really tragic.
Just wondered if there was some kind of safety deice can be added to prevent the hammock wrapping around the occupier.

I appreciate it's a serious question, but the short answer is no. If you are worried that your kids might strangle themselves then don't leave a hammock like this hanging up without an adult supervising them. Same goes for rope swings, climbing frames, etc etc.
On the other hand if you had the type of hammock that has a bar at each end to keep it stretched out wide, rather than forming a sling, that might be safer for kids. But nothing is 100% fool- or kid-proof.
P.S. Got this hammock two years ago - it's strong and sturdy, very good quality for eight quid.

For £2 more you can get a different (and better?) style from Halfords DEAL LINK
Both hammocks are missing the key ingredient - the attachment to the trees.
For that you can try the one from Aldi - if you can find a store with one LINK Also better for the heavier user as it is rated up to 150kg.

you can make your own bars from waste wood. push through the strings until they are taut side to side to get the correct width, cut and drill or cut a grove.
