Just voted and made it hot
This is a Sovereign 31cm Corded Rotary Lawnmower - 1000W as far as i an see- they are really nice cheapies which cut effortlessly. The Sovereign retails are around 40 quid so the trimmer is effevtively £10 i.e. a bargain!

I bought this last time the deal was on and returned it after one use. Absolute rubbish. The line isn't even auto fed in the trimmer. It's like a toy

No unfortunately I did not. I paid full price for something fit for purpose instead. Much dearer but I wouldn't take this Challenge set if it were free.
Hot for the money, though I think cheapo electric strimmers/trimmers are next to useless. If you only tackle the odd fringe of grass after you have mowed and the odd dandelion then it might be ok. Just don't expect the line feed to work well, and don't put thick petrol strimmer grade line on it or it will break. IMO your better off getting the Chinese 1000w mower on it's own (for £36 at Tesco apparently).
Or if you don't mind abit of exercise then get a manual Push Cylinder mower. Such as the Qualcast Rhino for £39.99 http://www.argos.co.uk/product/1587450
No cables required, no motor/fuse to blow, cylinder cut is superior to rotary if correctly setup and performed. Maybe less physically demanding depending on your grassed area. It does require learning a good technique, but will last you years and years if you look after it. Blade is easy to adjust using an allen key, just nip both of them up until it can cut a piece of paper neatly at all sections of the blade without grinding or being too hard to turn.
